Psp with 4gb memory card only showing as 1mb

I have a psp with a 4gb sandisk magic gate memory stick pro duo in it but it only shows up as 1mb when plugging into pc via usb it. The psp was nearly full with only 400mb free space so i formatted it but it still shows up as 1mb space and the folder on pc is empty when games were on it and after formatting!

Firmware is v5.00 m33-6

Please check in your psp set up, usb mode to point to memory stick instead of flash. (press the button right bottom near the start). I have the same experience with this and solve it.
