Hacker,
First of all finding out someones security question is not hacking, not even a little bit. Secondly yes it can be traced back to you and I do believe in most places its a rather serious crime that can get you sent to prison for a long time.
Im sure there are lots of e-mails people could hack or break into that would offer a life changing experience. (Jail time being the most likely one)
