Malfunction error

Hello,

Dear sir i am having mercury pen drive of 2 gb when i connect my pen drive it gives me a message malfunction. how can i solve this problem and my pen drive is no more working.

Dear Sir,

This problem might be coming from the fact that it was not safely removed or still from overflow of static electricity from the USB port. Please connect to another PC to see whether you can access to it.

Hello there,

Please go start menu run then type

Regedit--HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001/Enum/usb/

delete all keys under vid folder, do not delete VID folder on the folder under VID and restart the the system, thats it. Should work now..
