Lost files

Hello,
My Hp laptop keeps shutting down too but its caused by over heating. My question is it shut down last night and I turned it back on but all my documents, pictures, music and everything else are gone!! I see it in my recent change folder but everytime I start it over everything is gone again. Has this happen to anyone else?

Dear Sir,

Please have the overheating problem solved through the below Kioskea FAQ article and if the files are not auto saved, you will have no way to recover them.
