Iphone/itunes trouble

Hello,

Hi guys, well i have a 2gb iphone, and the latest version of itunes, i am unable to upload my music to my iphone, even though i have followed all instructions including uninstalling and reinstalling itunes several times, ensuring all the tick boxes next to the songs are ticked, however it still says unable to sync to iphone device timed out. the i get an oxe error code, however i have used itunes direct on my iphone and managed to download two songs! also i have managed to add pictures to my iphone by emailing myself them and saving them to my phone! i would appreciate any help :) thanks
