Hello,

I have an acer aspire 5810tz laptop and i had downloaded driver genius and it said i should update my driver for my Atheros AR5B91 Wireless Network Adapter, so i did, from the acer website. it uninstalled the old driver (Said it detected a previous installation and asked if i wanted to uninstall it and i said yes) and now control panel says my driver is up to date and device is working properly but i cant detect my wireless network at home even though before this it was working fine. the only reason i was trying was cause it would disconnect me randomly and reconnect me. I have a Netgear WGT624 router. Internet works fine when i connect to the router via ethernet cable. Please Help!

It could be driver problem, you can test to connect to other wireless network and see whether it works.

Also make sure your windows OS is updated with latest patches, sometimes the problem can due to Windows bugs.

Check the driver you installed again, ensure it's the correct one. If not, maybe can try to reinstall the old driver as it worked before.
