Laptop HP dv6700

Hello,

I need help with my CD Rom in my laptop. I tried to paly a CD and nothing happened. I then looked in "MyComputer" and the CD Rom didn't even show. I looked all over where you can look for it, and nothing there. Can someone PLEASE help me? Maybe the drive is corrupt or something else. I don't really want to do a system recovery but if I can't get no solution I guess I have too.
