Trouble shooting in audio

Hello,
In my pc i installed the mother board cd and atlast the audio driver is not installed telling that its is failed due to corrupt in the cd itself.
I am having
windows XP professional 2002 sp 2
Pentium(R) 5CPU
Now what is the problem to be solved that its the mother board or the cd?

may be it failed to find the right driver for your motherboard, using your motherboard model number you can download the drivers
