My latptop keep having bluescreen problem

Hello,
My laptop is having problem. Keep blue screen. Can i know what happen to my laptop? When my laptop blue screen, the screen will show this :" check with your hardware vendor for BIOS update. Disable BIOS memory options such catching or shadowing. if you need to use safe mode to remove or disable component, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup option, and then select safe mode". by the way, what is BIOS?
please help me.Thanks.
