Ethernet controller missing. compaq Pressario

Hello,

I have a compaq pressario C700 Notebook with Windows Vista Home basic installed on it.
The Hard drive failed so I have reinstalled Vista from the Recovery disks supplied by HP and now I can't connect to the internet as the error says Ethernet controller is missing???
How can I fix this?

Try this 1

You can find the drivers from the manufacture website. Just click on this link

Click on "Show all"-----> Select your laptop model--->click on "Software & Driver

Downloads"---> Select your operation system from the drop down menu---->click

on Next---->Click on "Drivers--Network" or click on "+" Drivers--Network---> You

can find all the network drivers-->just download the drivers and install it
