How to " force quit" an App. on Xp pro

Hello,
Two questions... about XP Pro
First If an app. gets stuck how to I get rid of it ( on Mac there's a 'force quit' button in the Apple menu. Second. How to do an emergency shut down ( Mac you just hold down the ON/OFF button for about 7 seconds.

Hi there,

Press ctrl shift esc ,open task manager end application in process .
