No sound from PC?

Hello,
My PC won't recoginze my headphones (USB with microphone).I tried doing everything that I searched online however,nothing worked.I have a Windows Vista PC.This problem has been going on every since the last 3 weeks.This has happened before but my brother fixed it however,He never showed me and passed away.I got my headphones over 3 months ago,and they were new so I don't think they're broken yet.Please Help.

Dear Jen,

Please consider getting to the Advanced Speaker settings in the Sound and Audio properties and change its settings to get the problem solved.
