Dell hell..black screen of death

Yes, this issue seems to be VERY common with DELL monitors!

I have the same black screen of death issue with the AUTO DETECT message at the beginning...followed minutes later by the AUTO SAVE...but it doesn't save me from instant hell!

I have just tried the unplugging of the monitor and will see if this in anyway helps.

This is totally maddening and my monitor shuts down within a few minutes of working on just about anything and I am not running games.

Something inside needs to be RESET regarding the monitor and I can't find a way to reset it.

Any help here? Or are we all doomed to DELL HELL? IT IS A DELL MONITOR....
