Black screen after update

Hello, my name is Paul...so I haven't connected my ps3 to internet before...bit today I did and an update popped up...which I updated...a 4. Version or so..

But after installing...it was just a black screen ... nothing else..Nd the green light remained on ...so what should I do ...and the power cord has been removed consecutively yet still no improvement



System Configuration: Android / Chrome 60.0.3112.116

Hello Paul,

Try resetting the video settings of your PS3.
  • Turn off your PS3 and TV;
  • Turn on your TV and make sure that it is set to the proper HDMI input;
  • Turn on your PS3 by pressing the Power button;
  • Hold the Power button until you hear a second beep about 4/5 seconds.


Now, you should see on your screen the options allowing you to to set the video settings. Navigate to Settings > Display Settings and adjust the correct resolution for your TV screen.

If this doesn't work, start your PS3 in recovery mode by following the steps described in this article and then select Restore System Files to attempt to fix damaged system files without deleting your data.

Hello,

Since we moved to Malaysia, I've been having though time with my PS3, I have picture, but no sound. All cables are in tact. What should I do..? Please someone HELP!!!!!

Hello,

We disconnected the PS3 from the HDTV to play a blue ray on another HDTV. When we went to switch it back again, the original TV is just displaying a no signal.

No matter the setting, we can't get it to pick up the signal again through the HDMI cable. Any ideas before I go crazy from calling Envision?

Hello,

I changed my PS3 from a 1080i TV to my regular TV. It won't work. All you see is blank screen. I also tried holding the power button but all it does is beep once and turn off. It doesn't work. Please help!

HDMI Dell laptop the screen goes black

If I insert an HDMI into my Dell laptop the screen goes black and returns to normal when the HDMI is removed. This HDMI connection to TV worked until I clicked on something in my task bar that caused the problem. How can I fix this? REH

Hi everyone,

I have a Dell Latitude E5430

I logged into my computer this morning and as I had it connected to a projector yesterday the screen resolution was not correct. I got a message stating this so I decided to change it in settings. I right clicked on the desktop and instead of going into properties I noticed another selection. I cant remember what it was but it was to do with displays. I hovered over the arrow and there were a few options, the third one was clone display or similar but again I cant remember what the others were. I accidentally clicked on one of these and the screen went blank. The computer was on and I waited a few minutes as usually once...

hdmi cable not working with my ps3

Hello,
the first time I got my ps3 I bought a hdmi cable and it worked untill it got stuck in the tv and broke then I recently bought another hdmi cable bought it wont work. i've tried it on three different hd tv's(daewoo,lg and samsung but it dint work sometimes it says hdmi cable detected but it wont just work but when I tried it on my friends new ps3 it worked? please help me dont no what to do.


Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 8.0
