desparate to install xp on acer 5740 laptop.. Solved/Closed

Hi,

Currently I have windows7 home premium installed in my acer aspire 5740 laptop. I want to install windows xp on a new partition. But when i tried to do the same using i am getting an error and thus not able to continue with the installation....Can somebody please gelp me to get it done??

Go to Boot Setup... Search for a Option "SATA Mode".. Normally it is kept in "AHCI", to install XP...change it to "IDE"

Now boot wid a XP CD.
