Reboot and select proper booting device

Sir, Please HELP me...!!!

I have WD1600AABS Harddisk..

Yesterday i removed my hard disk from my computer and inserted my friend's hard disk and i installed Windows 7 in his system.. after that i removed his HD and i inserted mine.. now the problem is MY HD IS NOT WORKING..


While RESTARTING the system an message is displayed as

"Reboot and select proper boot device and
Or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key
"

My HD is not even detected in BIOS

Hi,

Check your connections first. If you are using PATA harddisk, then check your

jumper settings. If you have connected harddisk and drive to same IDE data

cable make one device as master and the other as slave.

Go to your bios and load default settings and set harddisk as your first boot

device.

i checked connections... and mine is SATA... only one hard disk i have . . .. in BIOS my hard disk is not at all detected..


In "boot device priority" in BIOS.....

only CD/DVD/ROM is available...!!!

Hard disk is not shown...

I rebooted several times . . .and again and again i removed and reconnected the HD but nothing s working... i guess there is no power entering into the hard disk...

Hi,

Check the sata power connection.

first xchange ram hard disk if there is not working then look hard disk is vibrating or nt and finally its works

Hi there,

Did you made any modification in bios?are the cables connected properly,plese check if they are nit loose.

i did not do any modification.. cables work with the other hard disk.. and not in mine from then..
