Dear Adi,
This possibly due to virus attack in your pen drive. This may be caused when u insert your usb drive in the virus affected machines. Not only virus, but spyware and malware also. try to clean the windows registry using effective spyware remover and registry mechanic tools.. the following are few examples of virus/spyware..... regsvr.exe, winhelp.exe, newfolder.exe, etc... and unknown files with extensions .com and .cmd will also affect your external drives.
