Boot Error Closed

Question

Hello, 

When I try to boot my pc it says "invalid boot.ini file starting C:/Windows
What must I do? please help



<config>Windows XP sp3
Intel Celeron 64 bit supported 2.66GHz
Nvidia GeForce 7600GT 256Mb DDR3 Support for Shader Model 3.0
AsRock DDR400 Mainboard
1.5GB Ram
500GB SATA Hard Disk

You need to get a hold of your OS disc and run a repair. 

boot from OS disc and follow instructions on screen

Its not advised for amateur's to attempt to recover your OS from the recovery console.

skip the "r" option and go through to the next setup.
there is an option to repair windows in there which is a hell of a lot easier.

if you feel comfortable using the recovery console then go ahead and do so.
