Hello,
i can turn my dell 630 laptop on but it just goes to a blank screen. if i type in my password, i can hear that it's starting up but can't see it. can someone tell me what could be causing this?

I could be the backlight or the inverter that powers the backlight. Both require the services of a qualified laptop repair shop.
