Hello,

I had to format my C-drive cause it was full and it made my pc run very slow. And now I have a problem with my sound. When I try to play something, it says:
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.

Could you help me fix my sound problem?
My pc is a sony vaio model PCV-RS122.

Thank you in advance

If your motherboard hasnt on board sound then the format deleted your sound drivers..

If you have a pci sound card in you need to take it out and look ont the card to what what typ of sound card it is.

Post back when you have more info...
