No access to the Desktop after Game install

Hello,

Yesterday I installed Slow-PCfighter. It solved a couple of problems, as my labtop was beginning to become very slow. It made the labtop faster, so I shut it down and went to bed. The following morning it started up faster that it usually do, but now there is no sidebar or any icons on the deskopt. I can't log onto Windows Live messenger, and I search for maps if I press on START and write something. Please help me with this problem !
I am using Windows Vista

Can you please tell me how I do that? I am not so clever on labtops and computers and so on.

If you do a system restore as suggested you may lose some data. Actually I find Wyaat solution much too hasty.

There are other methods to accelarate a computer and not software can actually do it, most would be damaging.

I suggest you remove Slow PcFighter and report back.
