Hello, 
      I am having a problem when I try to install Windows XP Professional in my Acer aspire 5542 laptop which is pre-installed with Windows 7 home premium. It is not showing the boot menu option & its F12 button is blocked by the company. What would I do, please help me.

Removing the CMOS battery from the laptop for about 10 minutes may get rid of any BIOS passwords.There after you can go into the BIOS and disable the SATA mode from BIOS.This may work.
