My secondary computer we have hooked up to the cable to run television through the computer. We set this up two weeks ago. It has not been hooked up for more than two weeks, and is also not hooked up to a modem. I came home and turned the computer on to boot up and left the room. When I came back, the screen had shut off due to no input. I did a hard restart and paid attention during bootup. Lots of $$ showed up during the boot menu, and I was able to start up in safe mode. I did an antivirus scan of the entire computer, but came up nil. My fear is that virus is during bootup. I have never booted up from a CD or floppy on this computer, and I'm curious if anyone has had a similar issue, or if it has anything to do with the cable line. Any help would be greatly appreciated
