Hello,

My computer is not allowing me to install or uninstall any programs. Its giving a pop-up while I am trying to uninstall a program, The pop-up looks like

"The windows installer service cannot be accessed, this can occur if you are running windows in safe mode, or if the windows installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personel for assistance."

Even I tried restoring the system, But I couldn't even find the restore option here.

So what should I do now, Please help

Thanks,
ravi.

Hello,

Try this 1.

Click on Start --> Run--> Type services.msc --> Click on Ok--> Services window

will be opened--> At right side, scroll down for the windows installer---> double

click on the "Windows Installer" --> Windows Installer Properties window will be

opened. Set Startup type to " Automatic" from the drop-down menu--->then click

on start button--> click on OK--->close the services window--> Now try to install

the application.

If the problem still exits, click on the below link and follow the instructions.

Good Luck.
