Sound coming from both headphones and speaker

Hello, PLEASE help me with my problem :)

At first i had no sound at all due to the absence of a pci device driver or something in my laptop, i followed the instructions here (https://ccm.net/forum/affich-30031-no-sound-due-to-pci-device by Essa omar yousafzai and i got my sound back :). Later i tried to plug in some new headphones . the realtek program recognized that i had plugged in headphones to the headphone jack and asked me if i wanted to switch to headphones, i clicked it but i still heard sound coming from the speakers, I'd like to fix this if possible.

Machine Info: Fujitsu S series Notebook S7010
operating system: Windows XP professional
