the first constraint is that you will have to stay some distance away from an HDTV when using it , in order to avoid any eyestrains.for a daily use its not recommended.Power consumption of a 22" LCD monitor, is about 45w. as for a 32" tv its about 170w. The response time on an lcd monitor is quicker than on an HDTV. Finally LCD HDTV has a 1 year warranty while LCD PC monitor usually has a 3 year warranty
