Wrong password hotmail

Hello, The issue is i forgot my password so i press the forgot my password tab go through the required steps which is fine then hotmail say we have sent you a new password to my address. All fine BUT i cant get to my inbox to see this new password because i cant log in in the first place

Please help lol

Hotmail sent you the new password to your alternate e-mail address. If you did not provide an alternate address, you are doomed! You must therefore open a new account.
