go to your dvd than enter a folder named GTAIV right clikc on the setup go to propories than to the 2nd bar and use to fuction that allows u to run the program through XP packegaes...
it really...worked ..
juss go to setup.right click.properties.compitibility.run as administrator.windows xp(sp2).

dude omg i have the same problem.... i JUST got gta 4 and my system is not compatible with %p...... i need help myself but im not sure if i have all the requirements...i mean my vista is a home premium one and i am very angry... i need help too :(

ok, i found out that if ur vista u go to www.softwarepatch.com/windows-vista-sp1.html
or just copy and paste it to ur web search thingy
ok now u scroll down to the link that says download then let that finish then is will restart ur computer and go through a download thingy abob
then you put in 1st disc then follow screen instructions

oh mmm if u want to find that out click start right click computer and click properties sould tell you
just right click on the instalation file ,go to properties and then to compatibility then adjust it according to your convigeration
If you dont have Vista SP1 thats probably why. As you dont have any service pack installed then its trying to say its not compatible with Vista SP0. lol i think thats why.
