Acer Aspire 5050-4570 Mobo or BIOS issue?

Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 5050-4570 which no longer starts up when I press the power button. When the AC Adapter is plugged in the power button light, mail light and LCD screen all light up but nothing comes up. Assuming it was a BIOS issue, I followed this tutorial https://www.wimsbios.com/forum/topic10069.html but since I don't have a USB Floppy drive I had to use my 512MB Sandisk Cruzer Micro flash drive (I've seen success stories from people who have used USB Flash drives and their DVD/CD drives to recover the BIOS for other Acer Aspire models), this did not work for me the LCD remains lit and nothing happens. Has anyone else had this issue with their Aspires (preferably the same model)? If you need pictures I can upload some.
