managed to recover account using my trusted laptop which i'd luckily installed Windows Essentials on which apparently makes it a trusted pc. had to reset password on the hotmail website using Internet Explorer wouldnt work with Chrome or Firefox.

Thank you for the phone number. Please let me know if you get through. With the thousands of people getting their account blocked, I suspect the phone will ring and ring and ring and a meltdown will occur. Some people will probably have to take a week off work because of the waiting time.
