I accidently installed the wrong recovery CD

Hello,
I accidently used Pavilion XP Recovery CD's on my Pavilion Vista computer. I requested a complete redo of the Hard drive when I inserted the CD's. If I get the Vista CD's will I able able to fix my computer? Right now it will not start up.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

I found the correct recovery CDs and the system is up and running again. I just can't figure out how to connect to the internet now. any suggestions?
