Trouble with Acer Netbook Network Connection

Hello
One day I started up my Acer netbook and there was no longer the little computer icon on the bottom of the screen. I went to Network connection and clicked on that and nothing happened. It seems like I nolonger have network connection. I have been searching for a resolution to this problem for months . Someone please HELP!!!!!

first lets establish the drivers are installed for your network cards.

Click Start > Right click My Computer > Device manager (or manage) > device manager

In the list under network adapters are there any with an yellow triangle?

If so, you will need to go onto the manufacturers website and download the drivers.

are you connecting wirelessly or wired?

Silly. It's a slider button on the bottom of your computer. Turn it over and flick the switch. I just saved you $100!
