hi there,
there are many things that cause this. would you please list some more detail.
also try some of the following.
1. click start
2.search or click run
3. type cmd, press enter
4. type as follows
5. please let me know if it gets a reply.
Another thing to check is your firewall etc.
and i would also recommend running a virus scan -link :
