Incorrect free space

Hello,


My 'c' drive capacity is 20gb. Data available on 'c' is 7gb. when I measure properties it shows only 1 gb free space. why is this happening? Pls. help.

chances are you have it partitioned to divide the hard drive into sections instead of one mass storage device this is standard for most dell systems as they like to have a backup drive you could always repartition the drive but you would lose all the data on that drive when you did that.
