Hello,

a Few weeks ago my cousin used a CD with windows 7 on my laptop (windows vista)
now I can't see anything on my screen, when I turn it on it shows me a blackscreen.
It worked for like 5min, after I started Internet Explorer it turned into black.
I restarted my laptop many times but I still see a black screen.
Anyone can help me solve this problem?

thanks.

At this point, I would attempt to plug to an external monitor, we may be facing a graphic card problem or a monitor problem.

No thanks to your friend for having severely damaged your system! With friends like this, you don't need enemies!

Questions:

1. Can you boot in safe mode?

2. Do you have command prompt?

3. Can you boot with F12

4. Can you boot on your Vista cd ?

Greetings ChineseBoy

So you can hear the login sound! That new data for me. It could be hardware problem.

If after you boot and hear the sound, if you flash a light, let's say on the far right side of your screen, try to look from the opposite side at a sharp angle. Can you see a glimps of your desktop? (Move around a little, the light also)

Let me know

Hello friend

If it works on your dad's laptop we have a monitor problem which only a qualified technician can repair.

Do you see your desktop?

I can see the desktop of a working laptop, but not from my own one.
My monitor says ; No Signal.
I don't really want to take it to a store, it costs alot even for the stupiest thing.

Hello,

Try this 1

1) Remove the RAM from the slot, clean it and place it back properly or try another

slot.

2) Try once again by connecting your laptop to the external monitor.

Connect your laptop to the external monitor and then Switch ON your laptop.

If you failed to get the display in external monitor, then use the proper

combination keys(like Fn+F5/ the function key that's having the monitor symbol

on it) to toggle between your laptop screen and the external monitor.

Good Luck
