Does the sims 3 play the sims 2 expansion pack?

Hello,

does the sims 3 play the sims 2 expansion packs? help me out, somebody, please?

No you have to play the Sims 3 packs. I tried using the Sims 2 packs but it just says you have to download the base content first and if you have the Sims 2 on your computer then it will just go with that not with Sims 3.
