Hello, I have the windows Vista A350 S4527 and when it is powered on it displays a "Toshiba" screen with the F2 and F12 setup options on the bottom.If nothing is pressed it goes to to a dark screen with a flashing cursor in the top left corner.
Reseting to the default settings does not work. Thank you for any help you have.

Hello,
Try this 1
Go to BIOS --> Load default settings --> Set the first boot device as "Hard disk" --> Save the settings and exit from the BIOS.
If the problem still exists then most of the laptops are having hard drive test option in the BIOS. Go to BIOS and look for that option. If the problem still exists then let me know if you have an OS CD.
