Find lost folders

Hello,
I have window vista. I cut few folders almost 4 months ago into mu usb. Then usb was lost. I need to find these folders which are very important for me. Could someoneplease help me to find these folders.

Also I have one CD on which I burned lots of files. But when I insert CD into my laptop it shous no file though the properties shows that cd is full and only there is little space. How can I find these files from CD.

Please help me for these two problems. I have very important data which I need. Thnak you very much.
