Hello,

Have recently purchased office professional 2003 and when I try to install it, halfway through the installation wizard I get the message:-

The cabinet file 'SKU011.CAB' required for this installation is corrupt and
cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the
CD ROM or a problem with this package'

Have therefore received another one from the reseller, but again with this one I get the same type of message; -

I am just being sent duff CD's!??! The reseller claims that he has installed them fine on his PC, so is challenging my request for a refund.

hi,

try to reinstall your Microsoft Windows Installer.

you can download Windows Installer 4.5 from this link:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/942288/windows-installer-4-5-is-available

if the problem still persists, try the cd in another computer or another cd drive.

and if still it does not works, then you may conclude that the cd is somehow faulty.

return it and test any cd which the retailer will give you.
