Windows 7 vs older Windows (XP, Vista)

Hello,

I saved movies on a portable HD using a computer with Win 7; the movies will not play (sound only) if I plug the HD into another windows operating system (i.e. XP, Vista) and launch the media player. Any idea what the problem is or why this happens?

the windows 7 is not a mpg file.....a windows 7 is a mp4g video file. cannot play on vista and xp only play mp4g video file in mac 0s and win7 try to download video in youporn you see the format of video saying in youporn format is..
