4gb SD card unrecognized
Closed
Hello,
I am having some problems with my SD card. It is a Kingston 4gb memory card I use in my camera. I've had no previous problems with using it to upload photos from my camera to my laptop, and when it's in my camera I can easily see the photos, however when I plug it into my laptop it's like it isn't even there. (I don't get "USB device not recognised")
I have tried two laptops which have Vista and both recognise my memory card reader as a "mass storage device", however it does not come up in My Computer
Please help, i've looked everywhere for an answer, so stuck!
thanks x

Hi Lophiee,
Follow these instructions and see if the problem still exists:
1-Click on Start
2-Right click on my computer
3-Click on manage then click on storage
4-Click on disk management
5-Right click on your device and select add letters and path, a window will pop up then click on Add then select an alphabet different of C and click on Ok.
Good Luck!
