DVD not reading any disc

Hello,

I am having the same problem, my DVD ROM is not reading any disc inserted even though it is showing as working fine in device manager, moreover the green light blinks continously as if it reading the disc, and after sometime its stops blinkig with no respionse, please suggest how i can fix this porblem

Its more likely that your lense is busted so the best way out is to get a new dvd player/burner.
