Hi,
I am trying to Install XP 64 bit on my HP that came with Windows 7. As I run the XP setup and it doesn't detect my SATA hard drive. As some research online, I figured I might have to change my SATA hard drive settings in BIOS. Surprisingly, I couldn't find anything in the BIOS to change the settings. I don't have "Advanced" tab on top of the BIOS page. Please help me detect my hard drive through XP Setup

P.S. I can see the hard drive in disk management with no problem.

Hello,
Let me know your laptop model number.
Note: If you are looking for a dual boot (Windows 7 & Windows XP) then after installation of windows xp, you have to repair the windows 7 bootloader and then you have to add the widows xp entry.
Before installing Windows XP, first make sure that all the drivers are available for Windows XP 64bit OS.
Good Luck

Its G42-303DX Notebook .. When i get into BIOS setup, the only options on the top are Main, Security, Diagnostic, System Configuration and Exit. I dont see anything about SATA in any of these ..
