Will I lose Pictures already on iPhone when?

Hello,

Will I lose my pictures already on my iPhone when I sync for the first time to my new macbook pro & iTunes? When I try to sync it says the phone will be wiped. Does this mean just the music (which there is none)? Or pictures, contacts, etc., too? Please help.

it turns out that you don't lose your pictures when you sync. nor do you lose your contacts.
