How to turn off computer without video output

Hello,

I read your story about your computer powering up without video output, but I failed to see your solution, which is, of course, what I was looking for.

Would you finish your story and PLEASE include the solution?

I haven't read the thread you are referring to but on my Win 7 system I can exit the computer manually (without sight/video guidance) by pressing the windows key, then the letter 'u' (this selects shutdown) and then enter (which selects 'OK')
Different systems may utilize slightly different but similar approaches.
