My dv9000 wont pass the blk screen

Hello,

I have hp laptop and when I started it won't pass the microsoft logo
and it goes to the system reboot , but right after I select start on safe mode it won't
pass the black screen like it gets frozen. pls help this is my work laptop and I don't have $ to pay for a tech guy now!' :-(

sounds like a hard drive failure, check by removing the drive and inserting it in to a test caddy and see if it does a com-plete scan.
