Laptop powers on but screen stays black

Hello,



i have a toshiba l455-s5980 laptop...and i have the same problem...i turned it off and went back a few hours later to turn it on and it starts up,all light go on but the screen just stays black...tried the power trick but didnt work...please help

Which power trick did you try?can you please mention it for further help on the matter.

i took out the battery and unplugged the power source....held down the power button for 30 to 60 sec...put battery back in turn on then reconnect the power...that didint work...but i also just found out that my gf was cleaning up a lil bit and used some kind of chem to clean my screen and everyone knows that you dont use any kid of chem or liquids for that matter to clean a screen..i took the laptop apart and i cant find any sign of anything getting pass the screen and burning anything out so now i really dont know what to do...any thoughhts

Hi,

Try removing bios rtc batter wait for 10 minutes and fix back and use same trick and give your feedabck.
