hello, im having the same issue, i have the HP Pavilion slimline desktop,
at first i thought it could be the video card but it seems its not as i bought a brand new one & still has the same issue
have you tried your computer on other moniters/t.v's? if the same issue is on all screens then its your computer not the moniter.
are the fans working? it may of over heated?
did you open it to clean all dust away?
Ive looked online with the same HP Pavilion slimline & lots of people have had this issue, they ended up changing the motherboard which seemed to help in all cases.

Hello,
Try this 1
If you notice that your CPU fan is running but there is no display in the screen,
then remove the RAM from the slot, clean it and place it back properly or try
another slot. Check your RAM also. Even bad RAM will result in display problem.
Good Luck.
