My dvd rw drive is not working properly

Hello,
MY dvd rw drive is not working. it plays only cd disks. when i go to the registery of that driver i can't see upper filter ans lower filter. when i go the properties of that registery i got an error message. my dvd rw drive property shows that it is a cd drive. guys, pls give me solution
