Hello,

I have installed "GMail Drive" is a Shell Namespace Extension that creates a virtual drive in the Windows Explorer, allowing you to use your Google Mail account as a storage medium.

Iam writing now to ask you about this problem which is available down. where I have installed an Gmail programme that creates a free 7-GB hard Disk on your computer that enable you to upload your files on the clouds.
My problem is whenever I have tried to open the hard disk that has been created I have experienced this message"an error occurred:login failed system error message your IE browser's cookies functionality is turned off .please turn it on"

Try to reset IE

Go to tools-internet options-advanced tab

Click on reset(checkmark '' delete personal settings '' too)

You can reset IE in safemode if you face issues in normal mode

For gmail drive issue i want you to follow the third step

Install google toolbar

Open IE and click on the gmail icon in google toolbar

Login to gmail

Now try to open gmail drive simultaneously

This should definitely work

For temporary internet files and cookies issue

Go to run and type

inetcpl.cpl

Now go to advanced tab and in security settings you should have a option called

'' Empty temporary internet files folder when browser is closed ''

Checkmark it and try now

Ye i saw those pictures

Open IE

http://www.google.com/toolbar/ie/install.html

download google toolbar and install

Now restart your browser and check for gmail icon in the google toolbar. If you dont find the icon go to toolbar settings-share-check mark gmail in '' choose the service you would like to have displayed in toolbar '' option
Now you may get a gmail icon, click on it and just login

If gmail icon doesnt work then click on sign in option and login

Now try to open gmail drive.

Did you try this link

http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm

I think cookie issue was solved in latest updates

If that doesnt work then

Click the Start

type Programs and Features and press enter

then click View installed updates in the left pane.

Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section.

Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes.

This should rollback you to IE8 if IE 9 was installed as an update on your windows 7

Thank you for your reply, I have rolled the IE 9 to EI 8 and I have tried opening but it makes no difference, I'll try now the final way that is downloading another virsion of Gamil Drive.

What can I do if it makes no difference

but please did you have a look at pictures that I sent you about logging in to my igoogle is that correct or I should log in Gmail, or there is no difference between them the logging of igoogle and gmail.
Please have a look at this picture. Plaes let me know if you could see my picture which I have sent you. Because on my computer I have been seeing the picture as a frog and I am afraid you see it like that , I don't know what is the problem altough I am logging in the ImageShack Uploader programme but not on the ImageShack.com

Try this

Do not click on the gmail icon,do you have something called '' sign in '' option?

click on it and log in.This should login to your google account.

Now try to browse your gmail drive

//What can I do if it makes no difference //

This issue was with olderversions,it seems latest versions have been updated.Do not come to conclusions without trying out :)

This is another way

In my Gmail, settings, general, Browser connection: was set to always
use https.
Change it to Don't always use https"

Try opening gmail drive

Thank you so much indeed, I have some inquiries:
First: The problem of logging in Gmail Drive has been solved but only when I have tried installing the latest version of GmailDrive programme whose a link you have sent me only with the IE8 and not with the IE9 because I actually have removed the IE 9 before trying it with the latest version of Gmail Drive. As a result can this will succeed with a IE 9?
Secondly: what does "Browser connection was set to always use https or don't always use https." do, because I actually found both were unchecked.?

thirdly: As you will be seeing in this picture which I sent you there is not any folder or drive on the top on my gmail account ( I mean what is the difference between this feature and when I sent the files by attaching them with message)
http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/4854/10208737.png

fourth: what is the difference between this Gmail Drive and the free hosting sites , for instance, mediafire, filesonic, and so on.
Finally: what is the difference between what is mentioned to in this picture down
http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/9271/76697321.png

I would greatly appreciate if you could answer my question.

I am looking forward to hearing form you as soon as possible.
Best wishes,

Thank you so much indeed, but I have some inquires:
First: the probelm has been solved but when I have tried the lastest version of Gamil Drive with the IE8 but not with 9, wil this succeed with the IE9 ?
Second: when "Browser connection set to always use https or Don't always use https" what will do because I found both are unchecked.

thirdly :I did not see any folder or icon or Drive any anything else on the top of my gmail account . I didn't see any big benefit from it ( I mean I can sent these files by attaching them with any message ) Please have a look at this picture and you will understand me
http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/7500/35585768.png
fourth: what is the difference between the Gmail Drive and free host sites ?

finally: what is the difference between what is mentioned in the picture down:
http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/9271/76697321.png

I would greatly appreciate if you reply my questions

wiht best wishes,

Happy that issue has been solved

/Gmail Drive with the IE8 but not with 9, wil this succeed with the IE9 ? //

Do not come to conclusions without trying out :D

It should work because latest versions has solved this issues irrespective of browser versions

For second question you have answer here

https://support.google.com/accounts/troubleshooter/2402620?visit_id=637146147891925175-718996462&hl=en&rd=2

https is default eventhough its not selected

For third question

GMail Drive is still an experimental tool. There's still a number of limitations of the file-system

I think we can filter to automatically move the files (prefixed with the GMAILFS letters) to your archived mail folder.

For fourth one you can have a read here

http://www.gforums.net/gmail-forum/3953-hosting-website-gmail-account.html

Final question:

That symbol represents the online status of a user. A green circle means online, a grey icon means that they are offline.

simple, uninstall your google toolbar and you will never see that

Thank you very much,
FIrst:but please must I add these sites google.com and gmail.com in privacy > site. have a look at this picture:
http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/7361/gmail1.png
because I have added them before I have tried logging in GamilDrive with 8, if I removed them now now problem.

secondly: have a look at this picture and you will understand my question:
http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/7361/gmail1.png

Thirdly:I have read in this"GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google Gmail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your Gmail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. link"

But I didn't see any a virtual filesystem on top of my Google Gmail account . why?????
Finally: As long as Gamil Drive programme only works as you sent message with attaching files with it, then I can I do this from another email to my Gamil account. ( I mean I will store my data and files in my Gamil Drive by sending them with attaching them with a message from another email)

I should be gratful if you could answer my question.

If you face any issues add it,else remove it.Adding and removing is up to you.you need to make it work right?

Thank you so much
a virtual filesystem on top of your Google Gmail account //

how can you see a ''VIRTUAL '' file system? I dont know what do you mean by not seeing it.Can you not store it as part of your harddisk?
I mean I see at this link
http://www.viksoe.dk/code/gmail.htm

GMail Drive creates a virtual filesystem on top of your Google Gmail account and enables you to save and retrieve files stored on your Gmail account directly from inside Windows Explorer. GMail Drive literally adds a new drive to your computer under the My Computer folder, where you can create new folders, copy and drag'n'drop files to.
What does mean by what is underlined?

finally: I mean what is quite the benefit from Gmaildrive?

I would great appreciate if you could reply me
